This week is stacked with announcements! If you have an idea you’re working on make sure to get in the queue for our weekly Work In Progress events and get ready for Pitch Nite (learn more below and win cash!). I know you’re busy plotting your startup’s market takeover so let’s jump right in. As always, check the lineup below for great talks on cybersecurity, trademark, finance, how to win an Arch Grant, and Bitcoin.
Speaking of crypto…
The world has gone nuts (probably too much) about NFTs, but we haven’t said much about it. Typically these were the conversations being had (pre-Covid) in the hallways or by the bar before they made their way to become the topic in a breakout room. These side conversations are what lead to innovation and partnerships and they need a space while we remain online. So, beginning next week, we will host weekly discussions on Clubhouse with insight from the innovators, founders, and makers pushing the envelope. Details coming soon.
Pitch Nite Returns with Cash
Pitch Nite is returning on March 25th and this time with $500 in prize money thanks to Spectrum Reach. If you run an early-stage company (pre-Series A) and want to pitch, read more and apply to pitch here.
Work In Progress Photo Time
At Work In Progress 006, we’re going to make a quick screenshot of everyone in attendance to turn into a gif. If you want to be immortalized in a gif for the Venture Café homepage, join us at 5PM and stick around to hear the great projects being built in St. Louis.
EdHub Series Kicks off this Month with the Elon Musk School (and we want your input)
We’re excited to launch our EdHub Learning Lab series on March 25th. To kick things off, we’ve invited Josh Dahn, founder and executive director of Astra Nova School, the experimental school created by Elon Musk. While we have a handful of Learning Labs planned we want to make sure we hear from you on what topics you would like to hear during the EdHub series. Drop us a note to let us know.

I got so much out of my Work In Progress presentation. I’ve connected with one of the participants to discuss ideas further and I have a few additional people to follow up with. It was one of the most brief yet effective conversations I’ve participated in. Great job! Great people!
