Venture Café St. Louis is teaming up with General Assembly to give our community access to free workshops on data science, user experience design, digital marketing, and career development among other topics. General Assembly has provided training to more than 80,000 individuals across 40 markets and we’re excited to have them in St. Louis. “With a growing need for talent and diversity in the startup community,” says Tyler Mathews, executive director of Venture Café St. Louis, “we’re excited to welcome General Assembly to our city.”
General Assembly’s entrance into the St. Louis market comes as the region expects its technology workforce needs to grow in the coming years. Between 2018 and 2023, Missouri’s technology workforce is expected to grow by 9.5%, ranking it ninth among U.S. states.
Cari Perez, the St. Louis lead for General Assembly, says their launch in St. Louis will also focus on providing the tools and innovative mindset that people need to succeed in today’s evolving job market.
